Qui aurait cru que le grand frère préféré de Napoleon Dynamite, Kip, excellerait dans un autre domaine que le combat de self-defense?

A priori Aaron Ruell, s'en sort même très bien.
Que ce soit en tant que jeune réalisateur de publicité "à connaître" - dixit Creativity Magazine (bible de la pub en ligne) - ou bien en comédien privilégiant les films indé.

Mais c'est pour ses talents de photographe capturant à merveille l'ambiance "pesante" qui règne autour de la progéniture américaine que nous parlons de lui ici.
Attention toute spécifique pour la propreté des images, et la lumière malgré tout, invitante.

Eventually, Aaron Ruell, is doing better than good : Creativity Magazine (online advertising bible) refers to him as nothing less than "director to know", and he is also known to be a pretty good actor in indie movies...

But it is for his photographer talents, being able to catch like no one the heavy atmosphere weighting around american kids, that we talk of him here.

Particular attention on the clean images and the light, luring after all.

Quand Erwin fait son Show...

Quand les photographes néerlandais s'inspirent des maîtres du XVIIe siècle, naît une série digne des peintures accrochées au Louvre.
Erwin Olaf, signe avec "Solo Show", un véritable chef d'oeuvre de la photographie. A la manière de Guido Mocafico avec ses natures mortes qu'on dirait issues des vieilleries ornant les murs de nos grand-mères, Erwin nous gomme la frontière entre le dessin de la photographie.
Velasquez et El Greco n'ont qu'à bien se tenir. Erwin prend le relais.

Exposition à la galerie Magda Danysz jusqu'au 17 octobre.

When Dutch photographers get inspired by the XVIIth century masters, a series just as good as the paintings that you see at the Louvre.

With "Solo Show", Erwin Olaf signs off a masterpiece of photography. Like Guido Mocafico with his still life which look like old stuff hanging from our grandma's walls, Erwin rubbs off the frontier between drawing and photography.

Velasquez and El Greco should be scared. Erwin is there.
