L'oiseau rare et précieux...

Que se passe t-il lorsque un photographe monomaniaque des oiseaux rencontre un créateur de bijoux mini muse indienne de Wes Anderson?
Il se passe la collaboration Birds x House of Waris, où Waris Ahluwalia s'inspire de quelques uns des plus jolis instantanés de la sublime série sur fond blanc : Birds d'Andrew Zuckerman pour tailler ses créations dans du vermeil et autres matériaux.
Alors on hésite entre l'édition magnifique de pureté et de majesté d'Andrew, et les colliers plus qu'ornementaux de Waris... et puis on se dit que vu qu'ils sont tous les deux vendus au même endroit, ce serait bête de devoir choisir! On prend les deux!

Birds x House of Waris! Here Waris Ahluwalia is inspired by some of the most gorgeous snapshots of the sublime series on white screen : Birds by Andrew Zuckerman, to carve his creations in ruby and other semi-precious material.
So we hesitate between the pure and majestic edition of Andrew, and the more-than-ornemental necklaces of Waris... and then we come back to our senses and tell ourselves that since they're both sold in the same shop, one should be stupid not to take them both home!

Comment sait-on quand un film de James Cameron marquera à tout jamais les esprits? Facile! Il suffit que les grandes Maisons de Couture s'approprient le thème en s'inspirant des héros de Pandora pour leur dernière campagne de publicité. C'est ainsi que Lanvin a confié au couple de photographes Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin la mission d'imaginer la mise en scène de la collection printemps-été 2010 pour hommes. Ces derniers ont apparemment été très inspirés par l'histoire d'amour entre la belle autochtone et l'avatar terrien. Si bien qu'ils se sont mis eux-mêmes devant et derrière l'objectif pour immortaliser un succès cinématographique qui se veut d'ores et déjà planétaire.

That is how Lanvin entrusted the photographers' couple Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin with the mission of picturing the summer spring 2010 men collection.

Inez&Vinoodh were apparently very inspired with the lovestory between the indigenous beauty and the terrestrial avatar. So inspired that they even went further and not only did the photoshoot but also sat for the campaign in front of the camera to immortalize an already planetary cinematographic success.

Oui aux ancêtres d'Anna Wintour et à la Direction Artistique avant-gardiste (pour l'époque) de cet incontournable film "Funny Face" réalisé en 1957 par Stanley Donen, avec dans le rôle principal l'incarnation de la classe intemporelle : Audrey Hepburn.
